Caitlin's story starts with her cat Penny Lane who she adopted before moving away to Santa Cruz, CA at 20 for UCSC. Sadly, Penny died at 5 years old from aggressive lymphoma. After losing Penny Lane, Caitlin started to volunteer with animal rescue groups and animal shelters in Los Angeles. She saw the extreme need for rescue and reform in the animal rescue world.
Since then, Caitlin has founded and incorporated her own rescue, Rescue Fairies Inc., affectionately named after one of her adopters, Linsley, called Cait the "Fairy Cat Mother."
Cait is known for rehabilitating feral kittens and cats, bringing warmth and affection back to neglected cats and dogs and taking on high-risk animals (both cats and dogs) who are aggressive, sick or have behavioral issues.
The funds raised here in this campaign will help Caitlin obtain her 501C3 status so she can operate as a non-profit and write off the thousands of dollars she spends a year on rescuing the most vulnerable animals. The application for non-profit status is $600 the remainder of the funds will support Rescue Fairies Inc and their fosters to save more lives during this highly impacted kitten season.
In the past month, Caitlin has committed to saving over 15 lives, all out her own pocket. Let's help her rescue mission by donating so we can save more lives together! These funds are needed desperately and now, in order to facilitate rescue of these endangered animals.
