It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the news of Caitlin Serra's tragic passing. 

On March 11th, Caitlin tragically lost her life at age 31 due to complications from necrotizing pancreatitis and septic shock.

Cherished wife of 3 years to Daniel Serra. Loving mother of 13 month old daughter, Gianna Serra. Beloved daughter of Joseph and Susan Murray. Dear sister of Christopher Murray. Adored granddaughter of Rosalie Valjavec and Josephine Murray. Dearly loved daughter-in-law of William and Pia Serra and countless members of her extended family.

Caitlin was so full of life - she brightened up each and every room she entered with her contagious laugh and smile. She was the best storyteller. Her personality was unmatched & truly one of a kind. Nothing will ever be the same without her beautiful energy.

All Caitlin ever wanted was to be a mommy. On February 1st, 2019, her dreams came true when Daniel & Caitlin welcomed their beautiful baby girl Gianna Rose Serra into the world. From that day forward, Caitlin's goal was to be the best mommy & wife she could be. And that she was.

Caitlin endured 55 days in the hospital, suffering in agonizing pain. As you can imagine, our brother Daniel has racked up a lot of unexpected medical bills and he is currently on unpaid medical leave with his job as he sorts things out. Please consider donating to Caitlin's memorial fund to assist their family in any way that you can.

All proceeds will go towards medical expenses, immediate needs of Gianna (food, clothing, diapers, wipes, etc.), and anything left over will be put into a college fund for Gianna Rose Serra.
