Caitlin Johnston's Heart Surgery & Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Generous Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope and determination. My sister-in-law, Caitlin, has been battling type 1 diabetes since she was a child. She has been able to manage it with the most diligent and exhaustive care while maintaining a positive attitude.
Recently, Caitlin's health took a severe turn. She underwent emergency heart surgery due to complications related to her diabetes. This unexpected event has not only taken an immense toll on her physical health but has also brought about financial hardships.
Caitlin's husband, Bob (my brother), is self-employed, which means he doesn't have the safety net of paid sick leave or disability benefits. With Caitlin's extended hospital stay and ongoing medical treatments, Bob is taking time off work to care for her, resulting in a significant loss of income for their family. On top of that, they are facing exorbitant medical bills associated with the surgery and ongoing diabetes management.
As their loved ones, we want to alleviate some of the burden they're facing during this difficult time. We want Caitlin and Bob to focus on Caitlin's recovery without the added stress of financial worries. That's why we've created this GoFundMe campaign to rally support for them.
Your donations will go directly towards covering Caitlin's medical expenses, including hospital bills, medications, follow-up treatments, and necessary lifestyle adjustments to manage her diabetes and heart condition. Additionally, your generosity will help alleviate the financial strain on Bob as he takes time off work to be there for Caitlin.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in Caitlin's journey towards recovery. Your kindness and support will not only help ease their financial burden but also serve as a source of strength and encouragement for Caitlin as she battles through this challenging time.
Thank you for considering donating to Caitlin's cause. Your compassion and generosity are deeply appreciated by our family. Please keep Caitlin and Bob in your thoughts, send healing vibes and/or prayers as they get through this difficult time in their lives.
