On Friday, April 14, 2017 my father and sister were standing on the sidewalk of an intersection when a reckless driver drove up and crashed into them on the sidewalk. After hitting my father and sister he drove away from the scene of the crime leaving them collasped and seriously injured on the sidewalk. My father is insured and was the least injured, only needing should surgery. My sister on the other hand is still in the hospital with two broken legs, requiring surgery with zero health insurance. The hospital told her she is being discharged tomorrow (Easter Sunday) but will still need surgery. With two broken legs she can barely get into a wheel chair to take herself to the bathroom much less even think about working anytime soon. I decided to make her a GoFundMe page because not only is she facing many hospital bills but as a bartender she is now facing zero income with rent and all of her other bills racking up. This is an extremely hard time for her and the rest of our family. Every bit of love and support is very much appreciated. Thank you all.
