Two years ago Jamie and Caitlin moved their little family across country to Sunny California. They were living happily despite the fact that Jamie had a very extensive medical history — from cancer to open heart surgeries. His medical history made his body more vulnerable to illness than the average person. He was feeling sick this past week when he left for a business trip to Florida, and was suddenly hospitalized after arriving. He unexpectedly passed on September 15th of endocarditis (an infection from inflammation of the heart valves), which led to septic shock and heart failure.

Jamie was the sole provider for his family by working a job that allowed him to help others recover from addiction. Anyone could tell how passionate he was about recovery by listening to the messages he shared in his music. He was an dedicated father to two sons and a daughter, a proud grandfather to one grandson, and a loving husband to Caitlin. He spent each day of his life making sure his friends knew how much he valued and supported them. Jamie overcame a lot of hardship in his life, which made him incredibly grateful for every single day he was given.

Caitlin sadly lost her life partner and best friend, and is left to financially support herself and the boys on her own. Jamie's job was their only source of income because Caitlin was a stay at home mom. She really appreciates any help in this difficult time, especially because there were a lot of unexpected expenses that came with his passing. She is so thankful for everyone's support.
