**Update**

First and foremost, thank you so much for spreading the word! We are so grateful for the donations so far!

The last week has been a whirlwind of emotions.

All first floor residents have been evacuated and terminated all leases.

With these donations we've been able to apply for apartments (background checks got expensive!), pay for transportation, buy clothes and food, get a good night sleep with AC and give us piece of mind for the next step.

It's going to be a long road ahead.

Hey everyone.

Brandon and I lost everything to hurricane Helene. We lived at Seaside Villas in Gulfport, right on the seawall. We both work as chefs in Gulfport and really want to stay in this amazing town. The restaurants all got demolished. Devastating.

We just moved into our new apartment 6 months ago and just finally got it (mostly) furnished and feeling like home.

If anyone has even a few dollars to spare, it would be appreciated.

We are currently sleeping in a vacant apartment in our complex building for the weekend but have no bed, water, electricity, plumbing.... And it's a million degrees!! We really need to get Daisy in some AC. Poor pup!

Not sure what are living situation will be for a while. We find out tomorrow if we can stay in this unit. If we can't then ? Will figure something out....SOS
