Hi everyone! Many of you will have met my girlfriend Caitlin by now, and will also know that she is deaf, but is able to hear thanks to her cochlear implant. A few months ago Cait’s cochlear implant stopped working, and without it, she can’t hear. I don’t know if I can properly describe how hard that was for her. Fortunately, Cait was able to get a loaner and has been using that for about 3 months while she tries to sort out the replacement, but she can’t keep using it forever. Unfortunately, the replacement costs about $12,000, and Cait’s request for funding for that replacement has been denied. She still needs around $5,000 to get the implant, and that’s where you come in. Cait is the sweetest person I know (sorry mom), and she absolutely deserves to be able to hear that from me - literally. If you can pitch in at all, it would make an incredible difference in an incredible person’s life.
