Cairo and Rowan’s Journey Home

On December 2nd, 2024, our identical twin boys, Cairo Wayne Jackson and Rowan James Jackson, were born at just 24 weeks — tiny, brave, and fighting with everything they had from their very first breath.
Since then, they’ve been in the NICU receiving specialized care to grow stronger day by day. We’re endlessly proud of their progress and amazed by their resilience. After months of ups and downs, we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel: Rowan is making big steps in showing us he’s ready to come home, and Cairo will hopefully come home around the same time — with a bit more support.
Cairo will be coming home with a tracheostomy, which will require ongoing medical care, special equipment, and training as we learn how to care for him safely. We’re preparing our home, our hearts, and our schedules for the transition — but the financial strain is very real.
We’re launching this fundraiser to help cover:
- Medical expenses and equipment not fully covered by insurance
- Travel and food costs related to hospital care
- Home modifications and supplies for Cairo’s trach care
- Time off work for us to be home full-time in the early months
- General living expenses as we adjust to life with two medically fragile infants
As of now, Willie is our only source of income, and taking time off to care for the boys will be difficult without support. We want to give Cairo and Rowan the best possible start, and your help — whether through donations, sharing this page, or simply offering encouragement — means the world to us.
