Cainon's Cure
Donation protected
My name is Emily McDonald and I am making this GoFundMe for my father, Cainon McDonald. My family and I live in Madras, Oregon and my father grew up here in this small community. He is one of the most kindest, smartest, patient, humbling, and hardworking men I know.
On August Sixth, he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. We were told his cancer was "at least a stage two." On August 11th, we discovered that it had already advanced to stage three and it did grow into some lymph nodes, which can take the cancer all over his body fairly quickly. Along with this diagnosis, we found out that this cancer runs in our family. I have decided to stay home from school to help take care (and maybe spoil) him.
My father's treatment plan is roughly twelve to sixteen weeks of chemotherapy, six to eight weeks of radiation treatment, surgery to try and remove the masses/tumors, and another round of chemo. He had a port placed in his chest on Monday and began his chemo treatments on August, 26th.
I am asking for whatever donations I can get to help my parents pay for his treatment and medical bills, groceries or anything else my father may need! We do have health insurance, but it only covers so much and many of his doctor appointments have been requiring money out of pocket. At the end of this month, my father will have had over 22 appointments in total. I hate the thought of my father worrying about his family over this when he needs to focus on himself for once.
I have had several people reach out to me asking if I will use Venmo, and the answer is yes! If it is easier for you to venmo me, my username is Eazy-Mac1370!
Thank you to all who have donated and who have kept my father in your thoughts and prayers!
