Cain has a broken femur…

Hey guys,

Troy and I are just so saddened by the condition of our puppy, Cain.

We were gearing up for a date night, which doesn’t happen often for us. Troy and I were incredibly excited. We piled into the car, threw it into reverse, and hit a huge bump which was accompanied by the worst screeching and yelping sounds you’ve ever heard.

We realized very quickly that Cain had been laying behind my back tire. Completely out of view. Troy scooped him up, loaded him into the car, and we rushed him to the ER vet.

After 4 hours, lots of pain meds for Cain, x-rays, and fluids we learned the Cain’s femur is broken into two pieces. He will require surgery and that surgery is going to cost $6000.

Our sweet Cain is a rescue and will be just a year old on May 15th. He has so much life to live yet. Plus we really want to get our toddler’s best buddy up and moving again.
