Carla is a wonderful mother to my younger brother and I. She has always been dedicated to us from our social lives, well-being, sports teams and clubs, and now college. She has given us so much and although we are young adults with minimal resources, we are working to make sure our mom is taken care of. With me being a recent college graduate and my brother currently in his junior year of college, we are actively working to balance school/ work, supporting ourselves, and her. We all know Carla to be a very strong and persevering woman. Many would not even know the struggles she has been facing for a year now if you weren't told.

      The past few years have been extremely tough for her. Due to a significant salary decrease which led to repossession of her car and eviction from her home, she has not caught a break. For months now she has been sleeping at truck stops, occasionally staying with friends and in hotels. As if this isn't enough stress, she is also experiencing several health problems.

     I don't know many people that can put on a brave face to cover the ugly truth as well as she has. This fund was created to raise money for stable housing as well as some medical care. In order for her to begin the road to recovery, she needs a stable place to live. Her friends, family, and I are working to raise enough money to put a permanent roof over her head. We want her to focus on her medical needs and not worry about her living situation. We want to help relieve some of the stress she’s under.

     Given the current economic situation due to the pandemic, I know that this can be a difficult time, so please know that even the smallest donation would be sincerely appreciated.
