After a brave battle with cancer, on the morning of December 19th, 2019 Nerissa Besetsny Cahal passed away in peace.
Nerissa was born to Pam and Robert Besetsny on February 27, 1980 in Schulenburg, Texas. She spent her childhood growing up alongside her brother and friend, Curt. She attended Schulenburg High School and graduated in 1998. She played basketball, volleyball, cheered, and ran track in high school.
While attending Texas A&M University, fate stepped in during a blind date and Nerissa met her wonderful husband Chris Cahal. On April 17, 2004 Nerissa married Chris and began their story of enjoying a love filled life together - forming the Cahal Crew ... Colson (10), Brody and Parker (7), and Izzy (22 months). She operated two businesses before turning full time mom after the twins arrived. Nerissa loved being a mom. Among the many things she enjoyed with her children, one of her favorite joys in life was watching and cheering for her boys while they were playing sports.
Chris is completely devoted to their family, friends, and the sports their kids play and succeed at. This fund has been created to help the Cahal family by supporting her medical bills, basic family incidentals, and the busy sport life the kids will continue to lead. Funds will also be put towards the kids future education needs as they fulfill aspirations to follow in their parents footsteps to Texas A&M and also play baseball (TBD for Izzy) for the Aggies!
