Flood Damage Relief for BeLaro Jewelers
As most of you know, our beloved Downingtown Community was left in ruins due to the flooding of Hurricane Ida. We, like many other businesses and residential properties, DO NOT have flood insurance and have experienced a catastrophic loss. Our store, BeLaro Jewelers was flooded with over 3 feet of water on the first floor and our basement was completely submerged (see pictures below). Thankfully our inventory and customer’s items remained safe from the floodwaters. We are facing an extreme loss with necessary repairs needed to be made to the ruined walls, display cases, tools, and equipment. Our store will need to be professionally gutted, cleaned, and rebuilt.
Laura and I started this business 12 years ago due to the sudden loss of our boss Ron Lockhart, of Lockhart Jewelry. This past year and a half has been very difficult with Covid-19 and now the added aftermath of this tragedy from Hurricane Ida. But we will prevail and keep pushing. We have been extremely blessed that most of you have followed us from the beginning I hope you will continue to follow and support us for many years to come.
If there is anything that you can do to help, no matter how small – we would greatly appreciate it. We can’t wait to be able to restore our business, BeLaro Jewelers, to the same happy place that you can come to chat and visit. Thank you all again for your support and generosity.
With Love,
Laura and Becky
