Let's be real, life is messy. And somewhere between the burnout, the anxiety, the "I'm fine" texts, and the third cup of coffee just to function, we realized something: people aren't just craving caffeine. They're craving connection. They're craving a place where they can show up exactly as they are, messy, loud, tired, over-caffeinated, or all of the above, and still feel like they belong.

That's why we built Unhinged Coffee Co.

We know what it's like to wrestle with mental health while trying to keep life moving. Together, we set out to create a coffee brand that says what most people are too tired or too scared to say out loud: life is hard, and that's okay.

Unhinged Coffee Co. started with a mobile cart, a few sarcastic drink names, and a mission to get people talking, really talking. From farmers markets to pop-ups across the knightdale, Raleigh area, we've served thousands of cups and watched something incredible happen: strangers became friends. People lingered longer. Conversations went deeper than "what size?" Our goal has been to create a "space", and our first timers quickly became regulars and now show up not just for the coffee, but for each other.

What started as an idea a year ago has quickly become a gathering place. A space where your barista actually knows your name, and your dog's name (That's you Suki!). Where it's just as normal to talk about what you're going through as it is to order a latte. Where nobody has to pretend they have it all figured out.

We believe everyone deserves a space like that. Not just the people who can afford a $7 oat milk latte at a trendy café downtown. Not just the extroverts. Not just the people who "look like" they belong in a coffee shop. Everyone. The single parent grabbing a few quiet minutes. The college student who needs somewhere to just breathe. The veteran who's been told to "tough it out" one too many times. The person who hasn't been asked "how are you really doing?" in longer than they can remember.
