Help us bring Cafe Calavera to life!

Hello! We are Krystal and Betsy, two young entrepreneurs seeking to fulfill their dreams of running their own cafe. The both of us have worked in the service industry for over seven years and have gained the much needed experience to excel in this field. Betsy has an extensive history of managing coffee shops as well as an education in culinary arts specializing in pastry. Krystal is an innovative creator and has the ability to set ideas into motion. Collectively we have sold our pastries in the past and feel we are at a time in our lives to take the next big step.

We introduce to you the creation of Cafe Calavera: a Mexican and French hybridization coffee and pastry shop serving up signature coffee beverages crafted with house-made ingredients as well as pastries made using classical French techniques with Mexican influences. Our vision is to create a warm and welcoming space, especially for POC and the LGBTQ+ community. An opportunity to make this dream a reality has risen and calls for swift action. We are in the midst of potentially acquiring a brick and mortar shop and need financial assistance with a $10,000 down payment to secure the location. We only have a matter of weeks to achieve this goal. We hope to raise more money in the long run in order to begin much needed renovations of the interior structure of the shop.
