Tips for my staff!
Cafe Roma Pizzeria/Restaurant and Bar has been in business for 14 years. This amazing Puerto Vallarta icon has a reputation based on it's quality of service and great food and fun atmosphere.
In creating this, Cafe Roma would not be the same without it's long time employees. Each year customers form all over the world come to this establishment to be greeted by a big, "Welcome home" by Jorge, Edgar, Yovanni and Roberto. Whether you are new to Cafe Roma or a long time family and friend, each customer is valued and made to feel relaxed. In the background, Irac and Jose in the Kitchen are also working hard to prepare your food with care and perfection to the Cafe Roma quality you come to expect.
With the information regarding the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic moving into Mexico and Puerto Vallarta, I have closed my restaurant to ensure my employees and their families are safe and well taken care of. Karen and I have provided much information about the safety, prevention and wellness to assist them through this time.
As some of you may know, Cafe Roma has always paid their employees during seasonal closures. Cafe Roma staff work hard all tourist season long benefiting from the generous "propina" (tips) each day to help supplement their weekly pay. With the tourist season cut short, my employees will have a difficult time this year making ends meet. I have assured my employees that there will be no disruption in weekly pay, however the tips these guys rely on to help get them through the summer closure has stopped abruptly.
Therefore I am setting up this Gofundme to allow our wonderful customers who wish to help my staff. The funds will be evenly distributed to :
Jorge, Edgar, Yovanni, Irac, Jose, and Roberto.
