Caerau Ely FC pitch side defibrillator
Hi all, hope you are all well.
I have been involved with Caerau Ely FC for many years now and I am very proud of how far and much we have achieved over the past few years.
We have over 300 boys and girls juniors, who attend every Saturday, plus a youth side, four men’s side and two veteran sides.
As some of you may know, last year we nearly lost a good friend and a club legend Dubba Richards due to a heart attack. He was lucky he survived and thanks to a man, who was just visiting the shop at the time it happened, performed CPR on him and grabbed the defibrillator that was present in the shop. This gave Dubba a better chance of survival and thankfully after a few months in hospital he pulled through.
After watching the football, where the Denmark player Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest whilst playing on the pitch, I have realised the importance of a defibrillator and how it could possibly save someone’s life.
This is why I want to raise the money for our club to have one pitch side, as it would give someone a better chance of surviving if anything like that was to occur.
Thank you all and would appreciate your support.
