My name is Gene, and I'm setting up this fundraiser on behalf of one of my dearest and longest friends, Andre, and his family. Andre is facing an immense loss with the recent passing of his beloved father, Tyrone, at the age of 81. Tyrone had been living with Andre and his wife, Kassy, since 2021, and Andre has been his devoted caregiver, helping his dad with all of his daily tasks, medical appointments, and providing constant emotional support.

Tyrone was an exceptional husband and father, a man of unwavering love and dedication. The loss of his bride, Andrea, in 2018 left a profound void in his life, from which he never fully recovered. Despite this grief, Tyrone remained a confident and loving man. Though a disciplinarian, he was respected and known for his selflessness and kindness. He never operated in hate and always treated others with respect. Growing up, I spent countless hours at the Parker household, feeling like an adopted member of their family and always being treated as such. Tyrone's kindness and warmth made a lasting impact on my life, and I know for a fact that I would not be the man I am today without his presence.

Last year brought both joy and pain for Andre. He and Kassy welcomed their son into the world, a blessing amidst the challenges of Tyrone's kidney cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, Tyrone did not have life insurance, and the family is now facing unexpected funeral costs and other expenses during this difficult time. With his young family to care for, this is a significant burden for Andre to shoulder alone. Tyrone's passing leaves a void that can never be filled for his family, but I am incredibly proud of the man that Andre has proven to be, and I am blessed that not only is he my best friend; he's my brother. He has been a solid support system during the most difficult times in my life, and I will forever be grateful for him.
