Hi! I'm Cassidy, Cady's little sister, I started this GoFundMe to help bring my sister home to rest peacefully.

A little about my sister Cady:

Cady devoted her life to helping others, she was so motivating and an inspiration to many. Growing up she was soo involved, she attended Encina High-School where she created ever lasting bonds and friendships with staff and piers. Cady was apart of Cross-Country, Softball, she volunteered at Greer Elementary as a mentor and Volunteered at Howe Park Community Service, she was very involved in helping Encina grow not just academically; by being a star student, but also by helping through student government and later the redesign team, for Encina. Cady graduated from Encina in 2012 leaving an impact.

Cady was always a super smart and intelligent individual who strived to be the greatest she could, she went to UCSC and graduated with her English Literature Degree paving her path to becoming a youth teacher. which was one of her biggest dreams, she took that journey by working at our old Elementary School, Greer.

Through all the impact she made, she lost herself and started drifting away from her goals, addiction took her over entirely and ultimately, becoming the reason her journey came to and end, we tried for many years to get her better because we knew the Cady we all loved was still there, just lost but, nothing worked.

Through all the ups and downs Cady never gave up her battle, she held on till the very last moment. Many of us including myself did not get to say good-bye and that holds a hurt that will remain with us. Being able to let my sister rest in peace is my way of being able to tell her my last good-bye.

Cady leaves behind so many people that love her, teachers, strangers that she helped, family, her nephew who she loved more than anything and friends that surrounded her with love till the end.

So I ask for your help to bring my sister to peacefully rest and help those of us who did not get the chance to say Good-Bye to finally get the opportunity. Please donate or share to help raise money for her cremation, and her celebration of life (these are both what she wanted and we are staying true to her requests).
