Cadrin’s treatment& cultural connection 4healing

Our best friend Cadrin has been waiting for over 6 month to get into Poundmakers Lodge, near his Cree reservation in Alberta. Desperately needing to detox from his decade long addiction to alcohol, and to reconnect to his Cree heritage... This has been nearly a half year long battle trying to jump through the hoops and red tape held by the provincial governments between BC and Alberta in order to detox from substances, and to reconnect to his ancestral heritage. With his health in serious jeopardy, Cadrin reached out months ago, finally ready to seek out and commit to his personal healing journey. Now with Cadrin so close to getting the help and betterment that he needs, he has been denied literally at the last moment.

His great grandmother has already booked his plane ticket for July 24th, anticipating that his application for Alberta healthcare would be approved, in order for his treatment to be covered.

As of today, he has found out his application to Alberta health has been denied. Without the $5,000+ needed to attend this healing lodge without coverage, Cadrin is back to square one.

We’re now urgently trying to try to raise the funds with the help of friends and family so that Cadrin doesn’t lose his spot. We are humbly asking for help so Cadrin can overcome a disease that has affected all of us in one way or another. One of the hardest things for any of us to do is reach out and seek help, let alone the help of others.

For those who know Cadrin, you know how genuine and caring he is to those around him. Now that he is finally ready to show himself that compassion and love… please can we all come together for him to make this a reality.
