Hello everyone,

I'm Coach Brian, the founder and director of Cadet Hoops Basketball. Since 2019 we have served 493 young people through our doors.

Our #1 goal is to promote an environment where every participant has a positive and healthy experience with youth sports while using basketball as our teaching vehicle.

The reason:

To help raise money for a new backboard and rim for our gym.

Unfortunately last Wednesday 7/27/2022 our backboard shattered.

How did it shatter?:

While performing a regular Dr. Dish shooting machine session a ball bounced off the rim and hit the backboard at a special angle and within an instant the entire backboard shattered.

A total freak occurrance and we still don't have an explanation as to why this happened now.

Current gym state:

Currently the gym is closed until we can replace the backboard, we share this gym space with a pre-k center and the state of the backboard doesn't leave the gym space safe for younger children.

With your help:

We can order a new backboard and rush delivery so that we can get the gym back up running ASAP. Rush delivery is required because currently there is a U.S. shortage on certified backboards that have a minimum shipping time of 4 - 6 weeks. This time frame will jeopardize all of our summer & fall programming.

If we can order this backboard by Friday August 5th 2022 we have a manufacture in Flemmington NJ that will go the extra mile and deliver the backboard by Monday August 8th (or that week definitely).
