Cade's fight against Ewings Sarcoma

Donation protected
Along with friends and family, we are campaigning to raise funds on behalf of the Watts Family for Cade, their courageous, inspirational, and absolute warrior son and brother.
Cade is 15 years old and, in May 2021, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the bone and soft tissue.
When first diagnosed, multiple tumours were discovered and Cade immediately embarked on an intensive regime of chemotherapy and radiation for nine months. Cade showed grace, determination and an attitude that was extremely mature for his age. His favourite saying, when faced with treatments and procedures, was “It is what it is!” and was just happy to be alive. Never wavering in his positive attitude.
First-line chemotherapy worked and Cade was considered to be in remission after 9 gruelling months of treatment; Cade’s family were told that the odds of his cancer returning were very high; however, always remained hopeful. Cade had his porta Cath removed; his hair started to grow back, he started back at school and began to enjoy life again.
Devastatingly for Cade and his family, after only 5 months recent scans revealed that metastatic tumours had returned. Cade is currently back on a toxic chemotherapy regime which his Oncologist has made clear is not a cure, it is palliative only.
Exploring more treatment and giving Cade the optimal ability to battle and fight this awful disease comes at a cost. Research into different treatment regimens and clinical trials in Australia has drawn a blank and is unfortunately not an option, they simply do not have any!!! Novel clinical trials, exist only overseas, and these are expensive and are likely to be $500K or more. How much is a life worth?
During Cade’s battle with cancer, his family have exhausted all of their savings. Anita (his mum) has decided to dedicate herself to Cade’s care, doing his chemotherapy from home and ensuring he has everything he requires. His parents and brothers want quality time with Cade and, with costs accumulating, this has added an extra layer of stress for the family.
We would also love Cade to experience some ‘firsts’; he has started a bucket list of things he would like to do. At 15 years old, Cade should be attending school, playing sports and just being a teenager. Instead, he is battling this relentless disease every single day and struggling with his own mortality.
We are reaching out to you, to please help Cade and his family to find a way to beat this despicable disease or allow his family to spend as much time as possible with Cade without financial worry. If you are unable to donate, please share this GoFundMe so that we can look for a cure and help Cade with his bucket list. We won’t give up!!
