Hello all, my name is Laketia and I am reaching out for your financial support for my brother-in-law Cadero.

Cadero is grappling with a recurrent metastatic giant cell tumor of the bone, which has affected his right thigh and calf, and has recently metastasized to his left lung.

In August 2022 Cadero slipped in the bathroom and experienced excruciating pain, which we all thought was the result of a broken bone. Unfortunately, that was not the case; Cadero was told by the physicians that a giant cell tumor had eaten away his knee bone and he would need surgery to remove the tumor and to replace his right knee with a prosthetic.

After a successful surgery and months of physical therapy, we all thought Cadero was well and on the road to recovery. He started a new job and worked for several months before he noticed a lump on his right thigh. After a biopsy, several tests, and scans his team of doctors concluded that the same tumor had reoccurred and had spread throughout his right leg and thigh.

He was referred to an oncologist where he started chemo treatment. After months of chemotherapy, Cadero started to experience multiple complications and was in constant pain which resulted in him having to stop work. He became anemic and has to receive blood transfusions several times a month. He has complications walking because of the size of the tumors in his leg. The tumors have not shrunk but have done the opposite.

Cadero has recently been referred to a radiologist in hopes that radiology treatment will alleviate the pain and eventually shrink the tumors. His team of doctors is constantly working on his behalf to solve the mystery through a multitude of tests, to nurse him back to health.
