Caden's crusade - Help Caden walk

Donation protected
This is Caden, at 9yrs old, in 2018.  He had just had major reconstructive surgery in St. Louis MO to deal with issues in his feet and legs that arose from complications of the disorder he was born with - Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC).  This was just one of many such surgeries he has had since he was born in 2008.  In June of 2021 he is scheduled for another procedure, this one more invasive than the one done in 2018;  they will be reconstructing the entirety of his foot from his forefoot to his heel to correct a severe angle of deformity in his calcaneus (heel bone).  The other difference from 2018 - because this specialist is no longer affiliated with a Shiners hospital, insurance will NOT be covering this one.  We were told by the office of the specialist performing this surgery that as self-pay patients we need to provide $10,000 upfront by May 8th, a month before his date of surgery.  We are asking for help to raise just half of that.  ALL funds, every dollar, will go to the cost of this procedure and the hotel stay, rental car, and food for the week (June 4th to about the 11th) we will be in FL, as well as the 2 follow up visits (each requiring at least 3 days in FL which involves more hotels stays, food and rental car fees) and leg braces as he relearns to walk afterwards. It will also help cushion some of the days that my husband will have to take off work to be home with our daughter and their baby brother while I'm gone as not all of those days over the course of the 6 wks of total treatment will be covered with paid leave. These visits to Caden's specialist take a huge financial toll, and not just for the procedure itself but everything that is involved from the day of surgery to the day he starts his first day of PT to get him walking again 6 wks after it.
AMC affects the connective tissues and muscles, and is marked by significant muscle weakness (or absence in his case in some areas) and joint contractures throughout the body.  He was in hip-to-toe plaster casts when he was just 13 days old, and had his first surgical procedure at 2 months.  He has been in a constant state of discomfort/ pain in some degree or another since day one.  As he is 12 now and hitting the growth spurts that come with puberty, these contractures get worse and more painful, and now it is starting to affect his quality of life;  he misses school because he wakes in so much pain he can't get up the stairs from his bedroom, he is wearing stretching leg braces at night while he sleeps, he doesn't participate in activities that he loves, etc. This particular issue in his hind foot (his heel and lower ankle) is causing a severe case of plantar faciitis...something his specialist told us is almost unheard of in someone his age.
We are asking for help in getting the funding Caden needs to have this reconstruction done (and the leg braces and PT that will be needed after it as he relearns to walk) so that he can get back the quality of life he deserves as a 12 year old.  He deserves to walk, to just be, pain-free.  Even if you cannot donate, if y'all can still share the GoFundMe as well as our PayPal ([email redacted] . com) and Venmo (@haili-randall-wagner) as widely as you can it would be so immensely appreciated!!  We have less than a month to go.  And "thank you" doesn't even cover what I want to say to those who've already donated and shared... The English language doesn't have those words, and my heart is so full
