Hello Everyone. Some of you may know me and my son Caden, but there may be some of you who don’t know his story.  Starting at the age of 2 we started to see signs that Caden wasn’t progressing along with others his age with his speech. Luckily we live in an amazing school district that was able to offer Caden pre-school and speech therapy through their public schools. Caden has come a long way from not even being able to speak to now reading at a 1st-2nd grade level and speaking with 80% accuracy. He is still reading and writing way below grade level although he has made major improvements from where he started.  I feel that the 2017-2018 school year is pivotal in preparing him to succeed in middle school. 5th grade will be his last year at Knob Hill and he will be leaving the wonderful support staff they have for him there.  My little sister struggled with school and was fortunate enough to go to Sylvan at about the same age that Caden is now. It greatly helped improve her skills and confidence in school so we know that Caden would benefit greatly.  I would love to enroll Caden in Sylvan as well the only kicker is I’m a single mom of 2; pretty much living pay check to pay check. It’s so frustrating when your child needs help that you can’t afford to give him.
