No parent should ever have to deal with the heart break and anguish of saying goodbye to their child. Unfortunately, tragedy suddenly hit the Eickmeyer family on December 2nd when they lost their son Cade.
Stacey and Dan are two of the most genuine humans you will ever meet. They are kind, grounded, down to earth people who always put others before themselves. Working with Stacey for the better part of 19 years, she is someone who leads by example and never complains....ever. She will always find the good in the worst situations. She is always present and willing to help no matter what.
The time has come for us to now be present and provide strength, courage and support for Stacey, Dan, Bryson & Raya and the entire Eickmeyer/Scott family.
CADE EICKMEYER
Cade Eickmeyer, 8, of Mitchell passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Beloved son of Dan and Stacey Eickmeyer. Loving brother of Bryson and Raya. Cherished grandson of Robert and Eileen Eickmeyer, Jim Scott, Mary Lou and Bob DeBrabandere and great grandson of Joy Scott and Therese Maloney. Dear nephew of Debbie and Scott Baer, Wendy and Steve Ryan, Katie Scott and Perry Francis, Laura and Logan Swaim, Robin and Andrew Pearn, Josie and Craig Docking. He will be missed by his many cousins.
Predeceased by his great grandfathers Duncan Scott and Lou Maloney and cousin Jack Thomas Swaim.
Cade was a bright, joyful boy who filled every room with excitement. Whenever he walked in, he loved to shout, “Cade’s here!” He happily answered to his special nicknames, Cade Man and Cadester. You always knew he was coming by the sound of footsteps and the door swinging open.
Cade loved swimming, four wheeling, ringing doorbells, bouncing on the trampoline, and jumping in puddles. He built the best forts, usually after flipping the couches. He never missed a chance to watch his brother Bryson and sister Raya play hockey and always looked forward to when the Zamboni came out.
He never left home without his sunglasses, ball cap, Crocs, and his favourite blanket. Cade was cuddly, caring, and had a smile and laugh that made every day brighter. He also had a silly, mischievous side that everyone adored.
He enjoyed elevator rides, T-ball, truck and car rides, and stopping to talk to absolutely everyone he met. Cade was happy, fun, and carefree.
His family would like to give special thanks to his teachers, EAs, Perth Care for Kids, babysitters, caregivers, and all the friends and family who loved him so much.
