Cabs for Jabs has come to Tunbridge Wells and to date we have funded 263 cab rides taking people to receive their vaccinations!
We want to continue to raise money to provide vulnerable local residents with taxis to get to and from their Covid-19 vaccinations, both now and for Autumn boosters. Many of the those being vaccinated are elderly without their own transport and with limited income.
So please donate what you can and spread the word to your friends. That way, no one will have to break the bank to get to their vaccination appointment.
The fundraiser "Cabs for Jabs Tunbridge Wells" has teamed up with two community transport charities to provide free travel to and from Covid-19 vaccinations.
The fundraiser has formed partnerships with the Community Car Service and Dial 2 Drive, two existing local services that use volunteer drivers to take elderly residents to medical appointments. Both charities have seen a rise in demand due to the vaccination programme.
The services charge fees to cover fuel costs for their volunteer drivers. Cabs for Jabs Tunbridge Wells has agreed to cover these costs for trips to and from vaccination centres in Tunbridge Wells and hopes to expand the service to other vaccination centres once more funds become available.
