Cabot High School Musical Theater

Hello! We are students of Cabot School, a rural school in central Vermont. For this project, our entire high school is coming together to create an original, time-traveling musical entitled Visions of Yesterday. This means that our entire production is student-written, produced, performed, and promoted.

 

 

We’re hoping to raise $1000 to support the production and would love it if you could help us out!

 

 

timeWorks is a unique project, not only because it follows Cabot School’s project-based-learning model but also an interdisciplinary high school curriculum that breaks the mold of the traditional teaching style. Learning in the fields of social studies, science, and ELA will take place during this hands-on opportunity for standards-based assessments and graduation expectations.

 

This project is important for many reasons. By making this musical we are learning transferable skills that can be used in the real world. For example, we are learning leadership, communication, time management, perseverance, and teamwork. It’s also a lot of fun!

 

We are very lucky to have access to a pool of starting funds, however, for this show we also need to purchase some new lighting and theatrical equipment. To do this we are charging ticket fees for the shows and launching this crowdfunding campaign!

 

Your donations will also be spent on costumes, set design, equipment and special effects for the show. More importantly, you will be helping provide an opportunity for students to participate in a valuable learning experience. We appreciate your time in watching this video, and hope that you will be able to help support our project. If possible, we’d also love to see you in the audience for one of our two shows on June 2nd and 3rd at Cabot School Performing Arts Center.
