Cabel Pierce was a bright light in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He poured all his energy into those around him, as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He lived his life in service of others - most notably as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. Cabel died suddenly from a heart attack on the evening of August 1, 2023. His sudden passing has left those who knew him wanting to ensure his name and spirit continue to bring light through service to others. This is why we are raising money to benefit Running Rams Lacrosse Inc - in loving memory of Cabel Pierce.

Cabel was a standout lacrosse player for the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams Varsity team in 1992 and 1993, where he was a member of two Section III championship teams and a state semifinalist his senior year. He was a 1st Team all-league selection that year. Cabel was a dominant face-off man who could pass, score, and defend. He was beloved by his teammates and coaches alike, and JD Lacrosse meant everything to him. He was #23, so our goal is to raise $2,300 in his memory.

Running Rams is a group of Jamesville-Dewitt Lacrosse alums and supporters aiming to engage and connect the vast community of other JD lacrosse alums and supporters towards a common goal - "to promote an enjoyable, safe and fair environment for the development of amateur athletes' lacrosse skills in manners which foster good sportsmanship, good citizenship, respect for others, self-confidence, leadership and teamwork."

Running Rams Objectives:

1. Connect with the expansive JD Lacrosse Community with the current/present-day JD Red Rams Lacrosse teams, both Girls and Boys. Who doesn't love reliving their glory days!

2. Support the development of the JD high school lacrosse programs through engagement and fundraising activities. Help us support the off-season activities and expenses the school district does not cover, such as off-season training, summer/fall tournaments, and travel expenses when traveling outside of section 3.
