As many of you know we started a go fund me for our dearly missed president, Judy Poler, last September when she had a house fire. We blew our goal out of the water because of the huge out pouring of support from our beloved community. We are so thankful that we were able to help Judy’s family in their time of loss and to start their recovery.

What you may not know, is that this would be the second time The Pets Society found themselves homeless. The house we had for almost 20 years was taken by the city several years ago to widen the Amtrak platform in Kannapolis. Judy took on storing an abundance of supplies, which were mostly lost. Microchips, medications, food, litter, our scale and refrigerator for medications and countless other items. We also have items stored in a garage off Barr road who the graciously devoted, Sam Heinz, allowed us to use until her recent passing. Now that storage will obviously need to be vacated as well. In case that’s not enough, we’ve had our first case of parvo and we dare not use facilities where exposure is a risk This has made it more than clear we need a space, barn, shed, anything! We would never, dare use the money we have for rescuing the beloved animals we strive passionately to save everyday. Please help us!! We desperately needs monetary donations, so we have a place for our other donations, adoptions, vaccines, events!!
