Hi my name is David and i'm fundraising to help Stanley, a very very much loved staffy live with the rising cost to his vet bill.

Here is his story.

Friday 23rd Jan Stanley and his mum went out on their normal evening walk as usual in an area he knows well, where upon he encountered another dog walker doing the same enjoying their walk also , but things changed in a blink of an eye .

The other dog started to show aggression towards Stanley with no provocation ( Stanley just likes to get past quickly and quietly )

At the last jumping up with the walker pulling on lead it snapped free of its collar and attacked .

Stanley bravely defended his mum and took the full aggression on himself ending up with life threating wounds to his throat and neck , the walker stood by and did nothing to help besides saying " he doesn't like small dogs ! "

Mum managed to seperate the aggressive dog but with no collar on it, it broke free and attached again, then suddenly it just gave up and let go, Stanley now free fled to home alone (crossing 2 roads and a park ) , mum found Stanley waiting at the door shaking , bleeding and gasping for breath.

He is now in intensive care near Luton at a specialist vets fighting for his life.

The actual owner ( not the dog walker) is uninsured.

Stanley is insured but has already reached his limit at £4000.

Reading this back reads like a work of fiction but it isnt , we are still in shock at this event that has unfolded on Stanley and what a massive impact it has created by someone using the wrong lead and collar that night !
