Thomas and Taylor delivered Davis on December 26, 2023. Because of some complications during pregnancy, he was premature, weighing 4lbs 11oz. Davis was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital a couple days later because they discovered his kidneys were underdeveloped. Once he arrived, they also found that a heart valve that pumps blood to the lungs was too narrow. He will need a procedure done to widen this valve, but they are waiting as long as possible for his catheter surgery to heal and for Davis to be as strong as possible. Eventually, he will also need a kidney transplant. The risks are high, and we are all praying for miracles. The doctors suspect that if all goes well, Davis will need to be in the hospital for at least 6 - 7 months. Because of this, Taylor will be out of work and living in Utah to be there with Davis, and Thomas will be traveling back and forth from Idaho to Utah, as needed for work.
