Hello! My name is Ms. San Juan, and I am currently a fifth grade teacher to forty-six of the most amazingly dedicated and hard-working students I have had the pleasure to teach! This is their first year back in school since Covid-19 took the world by storm and forced many schools across the nation to shutdown. Students had to reacclimate to their learning environment all over again, which has been a challenge to say the least, especially trying to find ways to reignite their passion and love for reading. However, despite the adversity and challenges that they have faced in and outside of school, they still show up excited and eager to learn every day. Some students are struggling readers, yet at such a young age, they realize the vital role reading plays in their lives, and they continuously set goals to challenge themselves to become better. Their perseverance and self-motivation continue to amaze me every single day! I would like nothing more than to prove to these kids that "The Sky's the Limit" with endless possibilities and encourage them to push beyond what they believe to be limitations and to always strive for success and a better future!

I know, without a doubt, that a trip like this would be a life-changing, once in a lifetime experience. Trips to Disneyland have always had such an impact on me as a child growing up, so it was heartbreaking to learn that most of my students haven't had the opportunity to experience such a magical place and create those same memories. This trip would be the perfect end to a school year full of hard work and persistence. Please help me reward my students reaching their academic goals and becoming stronger, more independent readers with a trip to "The Happiest Place on Earth" and create the childhood memories that they so much deserve!
