Lucy's Surgery to save her life

Lucy is an angelic loving dog, a rescue who actually saved me, her owner Linda. In fact Lucy has been a constant support and source of comfort and love; my only companion during the Covid isolation.
Lucy's surgery will involve removing a large tumor that is stopping her from walking and breathing properly and she is in pain. The tumor continues to grow and is a threat to her life if left untreated.
I am a dedicated front line Hospice Social Worker who provides comfort and care to those dying of Covid 19 and other life threatening diseases. I do whatever it takes to provide care and comfort to those I serve, bringing compassion and love needed at the end of life.
Lucy is my primary, foundational and emotional support for my hospice work on the front line. The surgeon has said that the surgery will extend Lucy's life up to 5 years. These five years would allow Lucy and I to continue to do this much needed front line work.
