From Tasha: “Our sweet daughter Lina was in a horrible accident. She was riding her bike to work and got hit by a car. As I say this out loud, it still seems surreal. I can’t begin to explain the feelings a parent goes through when you get this phone call. It’s a parent's worst nightmare.
We found out after arriving that she had broken her C5/C6 vertebrae and had surgery within several hours after arriving. The surgery went as well as it could have, and now it is a waiting game. The doctor told us before surgery that she will have a 3% chance of ever walking again. But we know we serve a powerful, BIG God who can perform miracles. We have already seen so many miracles. We have hope and faith that miracles will continue to happen. We have a long road ahead of us, but we will continue to jump over each hurdle that comes our way. Lina is a fighter. She didn’t learn how to run hurdles this year for nothing; now is her time to shine. We love you, Lina. Please continue praying. Also, please pray for the driver and their family; this was all just an awful accident, and I can’t imagine how they are feeling as well
My sister said…
“God created her, He can heal her,” and I couldn’t have said it any better”
Lina is a huge part of our Morgan High track family. We are stronger together and we are with you through and through! Love you sis!!!
