Fighting for Arianna

Donation protected
Hi. My name is Dave, I’m 38 years old and earlier this year I was obese and very unfit. I decided to get into boxing with the intention of getting in the ring at some point. I have always wanted to support a charity and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do something I have always craved whilst raising money for a good cause. My wife saw a post on Facebook from a little girl who has cancer. She told me about this little girl and I knew it was a sign. I would love to raise as much money as possible for this lovely little girl and her family to give her as much hope in fighting this awful illness. She is only 5 years old. Her story is below, please give anything you can. I know times are hard but I can’t imagine what the family are going through so any support no matter how small would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you for reading :)

Arianna is only 5 years old and on 26th November 2021 after complaining of intermittent back pain for a few months was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma.

The main cancer is above her kidney in her adrenal gland but this has spread to multiple bones including her femur, pelvis and skull. Neuroblastoma was also found in her bone marrow.

Arianna lives at home with her mum (Abigail) and dad (Chris) and two sisters, Mya (3) and Zara (1). Arianna’s new baby sister will be joining the family in March.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer in children generally aged between birth and 5 years old that starts in the womb.

Around only 100 children in the UK are diagnosed with Neuroblastoma each year.

Arianna has a detailed treatment plan ahead of her which could last anything from 18-36 months. Her treatment includes Chemotherapy, surgery, stem cell transplant, Radiotherapy and immunotherapy.

Arianna has a tough road ahead. Neuroblastoma is rare and the survival rate is only 50%. Once Arianna beats this cancer there is a 60% chance that it will return. Relapses tend to be more aggressive with the survival rate dropping to 5%. This is why we are desperate to raise the funds needed to help Arianna.

These funds will be used to access treatment abroad once Arianna has completed her treatment in the UK. Unfortunately not all treatments are covered by the NHS.

The treatment we are focused on is the Bivalent vaccine in New York. This vaccine reduces the chance of relapse. We want to give Arianna as big a chance as possible and are raising these funds to be in a position to take her wherever we need to go to in order to receive the best possible treatment.

Thank you for supporting us every step of the way.
