Update: 8/10- it is with a heavy heart that we have to update of the passing of our dad. What a blessing though to be surrounded by your closest loved ones on your birthday and go to be with the lord. To know Jody Gullion was to love him. We must now shift our focus on memorializing his life and pushing for the awareness of the importance of helmets.

update: 7/28 in the past 10 days we’ve have been on a . We moved out of icu however that was a mistake and we declined and had to be placed back in icu. A feeding tube was placed overnight.

On Friday afternoon, my dad left his doctor's office in Laplace on a bike and was tragically hit by a vehicle. He had to be airlifted to UMC. He had a fractured skull and 3 brain bleeds. His condition has been up and down. Last night, we had a major decline and had an updated scan around 3 am. It showed the bleeds were no longer stable and surgery was required to release the pressure building. The doctors removed the left half of his skull. They placed him on a vent and feeding tube. He has a long recovery ahead of him and he will not be able to work. We are hoping to be able to keep him afloat with any donations so that he doesn’t lose his home in the process of trying to heal. It would be one less thing he or our family will have to stress over while trying to recover from the brain surgery. We also ask for any and all prayers!
