Every month, thousands of girls in Tanzania stay home from school — not because they want to, but because they don’t have access to menstrual hygiene products.
For them, a natural part of growing up becomes a reason to fall behind.
At SIMpowering, we believe no girl should have to miss school because of her period.
Our Mission
We’re breaking the cycle of missed opportunities by giving girls the tools, knowledge, and confidence to manage their periods with dignity.
What We Do
- Equip schools with sewing machines and materials to make reusable pads.
- Educate girls (and boys) about menstrual health and hygiene.
- Empower schools to sustain pad production and distribution on their own.
