A year and a half ago, my mom was told she only has a couple years to live. We were in shock, and felt desperate. We wanted our mom to live to old age; we’re not ready to lose our mom.
What we forgot about in that moment, was that my mom doesn’t give up that easily. She’s been through a lot in her lifetime and she’s still here. She’s a fighter, and boy is she fighting.
She’s had 4 rounds of chemo and one round of radiation to her brain since her diagnosis date. Those are the small things. A much bigger part is dedicating her life to LIVING by juicing pounds of vegetables every week, taking numerous supplements, taking a high dose of CBD oil, and cutting out processed sugars and grains from her diet. If it has been shown to cure cancer, she’s tried it. She has amazing friends through work who are sending her fresh produce and soursop tea leaves for tea, which she drinks daily. She has a lot of amazing people in her Corner, and we can’t thank you enough for being one of those people.
She is committed to doing everything possible to continue to heal. That has included learning to ask for help. If you know Candy, you know that is not something that comes easily for her.
Your support will help with her continued medical bills (chemo, CT scans, MRI’s, etc.) and the alternative treatments she is so committed to.
