I'm writing to ask for help for my sister, Nicole, during an incredibly painful and unexpected time.

Her fiancé, and Lucia's papa, Omar, was ripped out of his car and detained by ICE on December 4, 2025. He is not a criminal. He is a loving, gentle father and devoted partner to Nicole. He is a business owner and their provider. He is the one we call when we need a favor, and now it's his turn.

Since detainment, he has been given three dates to go before a judge, and all three have been pushed back, with no communication and no end in sight. The conditions inside detention are awful, with limited access to communication and delays in basic needs.

My sister is trying her best to keep life for Lucia as stable as possible while navigating fear, grief, and an overwhelming legal process. Poor Lucia has been separated from him with no warning, leaving her confused, heartbroken, and struggling emotionally.

Funds raised will help cover urgent immigration legal fees, costs associated with detention, and emergency living costs.
