Plea to Save the Rescue

Donation protected
We know that the Covid-19 virus has hit everyone hard, including ourselves. This is our largest plea for help. We are a non-profit organization that rescues animals from all over that are neglected, suffering in the cold, suffer malnutrition, injuries, and have life threatening illnesses.

Prior to Covid-19, the largest sum of donations came from events. We would bartend at events, work rodeos, host fundraising dinners, host training classes, etc. This year we have not been able to do any of it, and we are struggling to keep our doors open.

Every animal is treated like one of our own. We work with each animal individually to assist them in which ever matter they require. We have dogs with aggression that are on their last straw before coming to us. We are a no kill shelter. We work day in and day out with these animals to rehabilitate them from abuse and neglect. Whether that be one on one time, creating a bond and trust, providing socialization, having a dog trainer come in for assistance, or just provide them with the love they deserve. We will not give up hope.

Every animal that comes through our doors is spayed or neutered, provided with vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, a vet examination, provided with medication (when required), and provided with special diets when required. This last year we had the parvovirus, kennel cough, severe allergies, and mange.

With the parvovirus we had staff working around the clock to save those dogs lives. We had to ensure they were getting hydrated, with the assistance of intravenous fluids. When the dogs came to us, they were severely dehydrated, malnourished, suffering from mange and afraid. Unfortunately, not all of the dogs made it during transport to our facility. Every dog that made it into our care, we were able to save.

When we have a mother who gives birth, we are there and we make sure everyone is healthy and safe. If we have a litter that’s been abandoned, or is unable to feed, we step in and provide warmth, and we bottle feed them. Unfortunately, sometimes you do lose baby. We try everything in our power to save them, whether it be bottle feeding all hours of the night, or giving CPR when someone is giving up. I cannot stress the amount of love we give these animals.

Recently, we have taken in dogs with severe allergies that require ongoing medication to bring them back to health and an extremely strict diet. We will do whatever it takes to save every animal coming through our door.

We would not be able to save these animals lives if it wasn’t for our incredible staff and vet team.

Our vet bills are overwhelming and we are falling behind. We are struggling to pay our rent and pay our bills. We are asking for your help. We have applied to every grant there is, and unfortunately are told we do not qualify.  Without your help, we will have to shorten our staff, meaning less time to assist the animals. We won’t be able to save anymore animals that need us. We will have to shut our doors.

If you are unable to donate, please share our story to continue to help us. Our lives revolve around these animals, and we are not ready to give up. They do not have a voice to ask for help, we are their voice.

Thank you for all of your support.
