My brother in law was recently diagnosed with serious heart failure (biventricular heart failure) and was transported to a hospital 2 hours away from his home and 8 hours away from our family in Ohio. He was in between jobs at the time which left him with no health insurance. My sister has since been terminated from her contract because with my brother in law in ICU, she wasn’t able to work as much as needed. He has now been in the hospital for 10 days. The next step in treatment is transferring him to University of Michigan. That is further from their home and 3 boys who are all in school and under the age of 18 and will require additional financial support. Our family is doing everything we can but help is so much appreciated.
