Help Trinity Study Abroad in Japan

Hello everyone! My name is Trinity Bazile and I am currently a sophomore at Lindblom Math and Science Academy. I have recently been accepted to the CIEE Global Navigator High School Abroad program. I have the amazing opportunity to spend 4 weeks in Kyoto, Japan this summer, to learn the Japanese language and culture, stay with a host family, and study with students from across the globe.

 

Through this program, I will be able to earn college credit which will go towards my major of international relations which I plan to pursue after graduating high school. I am passionate about bringing positive change to the world. In my career, I would love to help pass laws that would protect the environment as well as the people of the Earth.

 

I have been studying Chinese for 5 years, and learning Japanese will allow me to make even more global connections. In addition to fulfilling my academic interest, going to Japan will also fulfill my personal interests. I have always been interested in Japan’s rich history and culture, and I am so excited to embark on this journey in my life. This trip will force me to become more independent as a person; it will be the longest amount of time I have spent away from home.

 

I was able to receive a merit-based scholarship of $1,700. The total cost of the program expenses will be around $10,000. This includes transportation, meals, airfare, excursions, and spending money. All donations are greatly appreciated! I need to submit the full costs by April 10, 2022, however, donations will be accepted after the deadline as well!
