Helping Hands for Jody

We would like to help our dear friend Jody. Jody is first and foremost a Mom to three beautiful daughters, a wife, a daughter, and most recently a grandmother to her precious granddaughter.  She lives just outside Fredericton with her family. She is loved by many.

Jody was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer in early 2020. She has undergone one of two surgeries, and 6 cycles of chemotherapy here in Fredericton. The next step in this journey will be 33 days of radiation treatment.  The treatment begins in mid- October. Radiation is not available in our city,  so she has to travel to Moncton.  She will incur costs to travel and stay there during her treatment.  These costs should not cause additional stress on any family going through cancer,  so we are hoping to raise enough funds to help cover accommodations, travel, food, and any additional expenses she will incur during this time.

Covid has added additional stress to her treatments. First, it delayed her surgery, and she has had to attend most appointments on her own. The hospital she will be receiving her treatment at offers a hostel for patients but does not allow for the family to stay with her due to covid. Raising these funds will help provide a safe place and give Jody the support she will need to get through this next hurdle.
