Hello my name is Fela and that handsome hunk next to me is my amazing husband Jorge.

I’d like to give a little background to our story and why I’ve started this GoFundMe.

For many years, I’ve silently struggled with PCOS, a condition that has made starting a family an uphill battle. After trying to conceive naturally and enduring failed IUI cycles, my spouse and I are now moving forward with IVF—the path that gives us the best chance at building the family we’ve dreamed of.

We’ve already covered the first big portion of costs out of pocket, but as anyone who has walked this road knows, the expenses add up quickly. The medications alone are about $6,000 out of pocket, and the second half of treatment—including the embryo transfer and any genetic testing—will cost another $4,000.

Infertility has taken a toll emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially. My greatest dream is to become a mother, and I’ve come to realize that sometimes it’s okay to be vulnerable and ask for help.
