I am Hadeel from Gaza, a mother to two daughters: Amal (10) and Julia (7). I once had a beautiful home and a loving husband, but our lives were turned upside down overnight. We were forcibly displaced to the south, and I lost my husband—he was martyred, leaving me a widow and my children orphans. I am now their sole provider, yet I have no professional qualifications for employment. Today, we live in a tattered tent on the roadside, lacking the bare essentials for survival; the tent offers no protection against the summer heat or the winter cold. By day, we are plagued by flies, and by night, by rodents. We cannot sleep soundly; my daughters are terrified of the vermin. I ask for your help, or for you to share my story so that others might assist us. I want my daughters and myself to live in safety and peace, free from fear. I want my children to eat healthy food, drink clean water, and continue their education just like children everywhere else. Please help us secure a better life.
