Operation bring mom home
Donation protected
On September 23rd my mom flew to Mexico to attend her brothers wedding. Unfortunately, while in Mexico she became very ill and ended up in the ICU in Nezahualcóyotl- Mexico DF.
My brother and I flew down to Mexico on the 30th with hopes to bring her back with us on the 1st of October. To our dismay when we arrived at the hospital our hopes were crushed by the brutal reality that she was far grave then we imagined. I stayed in Mexico while my brother flew back to the states.
We immediately flew back as soon as we were able to fly in her condition. We arrived in Dallas October 6th and immediately had her transported to a hospital upon landing.
The medical system in Mexico is extremely underfunded and lacking in resources- this causes patients to rely on family to provide blood donations and medical supplies to operate and facilitate care.
We were not prepared for weight of it all emotionally and financially. Any and every bit is helpful. Mom is currently hospitalized in Texas and we are very grateful for her return home to be at her side in America where she is receiving the best care imaginable.
With Gratitude,
The Solache Family

update- we are waiting for a MRI and biopsy on her spine to find out why she is bedridden and unable to walk or stand.

update- The MRI shows four spots on her brain, the doctor ordered a CT scan today for more information on her brain. Mom was able to move her toes and the doctor was very happy to see her effort. She is still unable to walk, sit up or stand.
