Simon the Siamese Medical Bills

Our cat had to have surgery today after being hit by a car last night and we need help.
Simon is one of the most unique and personable cats you have ever met. I was handed him as a 6 week ld kitten by a mutual friend. He has been with my husband and I nearly as long as we have been together and is our first child. Some of his favorite things are to play fetch, explore new places (especially horse shows) on his harness, and socialize with everyone he meets. He being 5 now is an indoor/outdoor cat out of our home in a residential neighborhood inTujunga. He spends most of the day cruising the neighborhood then afternoons and evenings in with us and asleep in our bed, but last night when it came to going to bed he did not come in.
When I woke up this morning, he was crying in a corner of our bedroom. I lept to him to find that he had soiled himself and was not moving at all. I could tell imidiately there was something horribly wrong.
My husband and I rushed him imidiately to the nearest open vet who then established that his temperature was dangerously low. The doctors there speculated that there has been a trauma and that he was in shock so they wanted to keep him to monitor and run some tests. Not much later we received a call advising that there was something seriously wrong and they would need to do an exploratory abdominal surgery in hopes to find out what was wrong.
Though my husband and I had already been struggling financially to get back on our feet after some job adjustments, not enough work and career changes, we knew that we had to do anything we could to save Simon if he had a chance of full recovery. We decided that they would open him up and if they found something reasonable that we would go for it, but if he would have a terrible quality of life we would do what is best for him.
Praise the Lord he had survived his surgery! They determined that he must have been hit by a car which tore his diaphragm on both sides, one of which large enough to allowed his liver to prolapse into his chest. Secondly he has had his skin torn away from his ribs and musculature so he is wearing this special brace to hug him tight enough to hopefully allow it to reconnect.
The vets have a good feeling that things will go well, and Simon now gets to do all the hard work of recovering. Brendon and I also now have to work out exactly how we are going to pay all his medical bills on an inconsistent income. The estimate that we were given today was $3000 and we have no idea what sort of aftercare he will still need or how if that will go up depending on how long he has to stay in hospital. We are putting it out there to see if there is anyone that may want to help us and Simon out in this really difficult time.
We can't express to you how thankful we are for all the prayer, love and support we have gotten from all of you, and we know that Simon appreciates it too. So Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for everything!
We love you and know that without God and all of you today would not have been possible. XOXO
