I am Bianca, Chris's fiance. I want to create this post at Chris's request to help offset the financial burden associated with his recent motorcycle accident.
Many of you likely do not know, but on February 18th, Chris was in a near-fatal motorcycle accident while out riding his Harley in Riverbank, CA. Normally, we would not feel comfortable asking for financial help. Still, due to the severity of his injuries and details pertaining to the ongoing investigation into this incident, we are finding ourselves needing help. It could be 6, 8 or even 12 months before he is released back to work. We do not know.
He will return home on March 25, bringing his total days at the hospital and rehab center to 36 days. We are incredibly thankful that he survived this and will one day return to himself, but every day requires much from him. He is in a lot of pain still, but he persists with admirable determination to return to work and his family.
Upon his return, he will continue with mental health therapy, OT, PT, and Speech, and I will be working with him at home to assist with daily activities and personal care. This may require me to miss work myself.
Chris suffered a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, lacerated liver, broken ribs, broken vertebrae, broken left humerus, breaks in both hands, and multiple broken bones in his face requiring orbital bone implants. He was coded for traumatic brain injury, and the list goes on to include two bouts with pneumonia.
Chris is strong and determined and will get through this, but while we worry about his physical healing, we turn to the community, asking for help relieving the financial burdens we have been forced to accept.
No donation is too small. Your shares and prayers are more than appreciated as well.
