We are reaching out for your help and to raise awareness!
I'm Anna, I am ex front line ambulance and currently work for 111. I am a mum to two children aged 12 and 15. Last week, my husband Paul who was Autistic and a Paramedic of almost 30 years at Bournemouth took his own life.
We are devastated, we are lost and currently we feel helpless. Paul was in charge of our finances, which we have no access to and his accounts are now frozen.
We are reaching out for your support to help me and my children survive and we have Paul's funeral to pay for.
As well as your support, which we are eternally grateful for, we would like to use this opportunity to share as far and as wide as possible to help raise awareness of suicide and encourage people to reach out for help, not to suffer in silence. Suicide is the leading cause of death in men under the age of 50. 75% of suicides in England are male and the statistics are rising. The statistics for Autistic people dying by suicide is increasing. We don't want anyone out there to suffer and not get help, everyone deserves to be happy. We don't want anyone to go through what we are going through right now and what we now have to come to terms with.
Anna, William and Alexander.
